At Phyre Horse Productions, we believe the most compelling stories are often found where different worlds meet. Between history and the present, humour and humanity, and the deeply personal and the universally recognisable.
Our growing development slate includes Rivers of Blood alongside projects spanning scripted comedy, specialist documentary and original feature film. While we cannot reveal the details of these projects just yet, together they reflect the range and ambition of Phyre Horse.
Every project begins with a strong idea and a voice that deserves to be heard. We are drawn to untold histories, overlooked perspectives and stories that invite audiences to laugh, think, question and feel. We follow stories wherever they choose to travel, developing work that crosses genres, cultures and borders while always keeping people at its heart. Our slate is created for curious audiences and shaped by storytellers who are unafraid to look at the world differently.

A landmark documentary series exploring Britain's rivers, their history, their communities, and the stories they carry.
A cinematic investigative documentary tracing how Enoch Powell’s infamous “Rivers of Blood” speech reshaped Britain’s political, cultural and emotional landscape. Guided by questions from viewers, it explores how the rhetoric of the past finds new life in the age of digital populism.
How We Work
We work closely with writers, directors and creative producers from the earliest stages before the pitch, before the treatment, before the first draft. We believe the best stories need time, trust and the right conditions to become what they are meant to be.
Every decision, whether creative, commercial or strategic, begins with the story. We do not develop projects to fill a slot. We develop them because they matter.
We are not interested in quick wins. We invest in ideas that have the potential to grow, evolve and find new audiences over time.
From the earliest stages of development, we ask: where can this story travel? Who else needs to hear this? How do we build it to cross borders?
